Not all bamboos are invasive! They can add height, evergreen screening, or be a striking specimen in any garden. The main thing to remember about bamboos is that they are very hungry and very thirsty plants. They are fascinating to watch as once a shoot appears they literally do all their growing in one season and you can see them grow daily. Given enough feed, water and sunshine (if we are lucky) they can grow quite happily upto around 3/4 metres.
